DESCRIPTION

This bamboo craft kit is designed with the idea of "Make Your Own Bamboo-Work", sophisticated yet easy to be mastered. It contains a set of raw bamboo materials, a manual, and videos. In which, the manual demonstrates the step-by-step weaving process, as well as showcasing the bamboo weaving concept and preservation with exquisite photos.

It is formed by a bamboo-weaving technique called Yotsume Ami, a cross pattern structure where each side are weaved to each other without using any glue, symboling the intertwined waves.

It is one of the most basic styles of bamboo crafts, suitable for all beginners. It could be used as a vase, or served as a ceramic carrier for dishes.

To deal with the humid weather in Hong Kong, we also spent more effort on drying the bamboo than the Japanese do, usually 30-45 days, make it a precious yet life-time durable art.
