Hexagonal Pattern Tray

Material : Bamboo strips 5mm , Rattan

Size : 260mm (L) x 260mm (W) x 80mm(H)

Based on the hexagonal weaving technique, this entry-level bamboo craft plate is woven into a slightly curved semicircle. Utilizing the high flexibility of bamboo, the edge of the plate is closed with a butterfly-shaped rattan knot. The plate could be a basket or hamper best filled with fruits, foods and groceries. Rinse it with clean water after use and let it dry casually. The plate can also be flipped upside down to become a lampshade penetrating a beautiful soft warm light pattern.

Octagonal basket is a sturdy and tough weaving structure, the box shape is easy for storage. The handles wrapped by rattan for comfort touch feeling and enhance the basket stability corners with bamboo strips. This octagonal basket is suitable use for picnics or trips. Please store in a cool and dry place when wash the basket.

"Bamboo knot" is similar to Japanese "MIZUHIKI" and Chinese knots, it means good luck and blessings. Due to the elasticity of bamboo, that can be bend into unique and elegant knots.The "Bamboo knot" collection has three kinds of knots, each with different meanings: grass (sprout), flower (bloom), and butterfly (convey), that can be buckle on clothing, for weddings or special events, also for gifts packaging.

In Asia, chrysanthemum means prosperity and longevity. Hexagonal chrysanthemum knitting is a traditional weaving technique. Each coaster is hand-woven with 1.5MM young bamboo, applying with hexagonal knitting to form a delicate chrysanthemum pattern.

One of the simplest small plate. It looks like a flower when looking down from above, the plate bottom is interwoven with triangular weaving pattern. There is a reason to say it is the simplest handicraft. The material of the entire work is bamboo of the same width and thickness, without glue or any seals to make the closure. The method of execution contains folk wisdom.

Medium-sized hexagonal weave basket is improved and simplified on the basis of small-sized one. It's a bit larger than the small basket with a diameter of around 200mm, and the bottom structure is strengthened for practicality. The whole work does not use glue, and uses natural rattan for closure.

The geometric pattern of the plate looks like stars. bamboo chopsticks

The old character "箸" means chopsticks. The character on the top of "箸" is "竹" which means "bamboo". In ancient times, people used bamboo or wood as chopsticks. Until now, in Japan, chopsticks are also called "箸". As for other locations, the designs of chopsticks are slightly different to cater to different local food cultures.
