四海波花籠 Shikainami

四海波花籠(日文稱Shikainami) ，相傳是來自一首民謠，意指大海風平浪靜，四海波靜，太平盛世。 從外觀上像一片一片海浪交織然後融合在一起。

它底編是十字編，邊緣互相緊扣十分穩固，整個作品不需用上膠水。

它為入門級的竹編作品，因為十字編及修口也是較容易上手的技巧。它可作花皿，也可以結合陶器成食器或水果盛器用。

Shikainami basket, which reminiscent of a peaceful sea where the world is well settled.

It is formed by a bamboo-weaving technique called Yotsume Ami, a cross pattern structure where each side are weaved to each other without using any glue, symboling the intertwined waves.

It is one of the most basic styles of bamboo crafts, suitable for all beginners. It could be used as a vase, or served as a ceramic carrier for dishes.
